Himmatwala is an upcoming action romantic film directed by Sajid Khan. The film features Ajay Devgn opposite southern actress Tamannaah in the lead roles.
It is an official remake of the 1983 Hindi blockbuster of the same name, which itself was a remake of a Telugu film Ooriki Monagadu of 1981. The 1983 Himmatwala had Jeetendra and Sridevi in the lead.
The first-look of Sajid Khan's remake version of the yesteryear film was unveiled today at Gaiety Galaxy theatre in suburban Bandra.
The film will have Ajay stepping in the role of Jeetendra. The film, jointly produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Vashu Bhagnani, is set to release on March 29 this year.
